Nina de Koning

Origin: Netherlands

By not conforming to any standards, Amsterdam based DJ and producer Nina de Koning, is becoming a well-known figure in Dutch nightlife. While mixing a wide variety of genres she never fails to blend them into her own dark exhilarating techno sound. Raised to the sounds of late 90’s house and trance, it didn’t really come as a surprise that at eleven years old Nina would touch a pair of CDJs for the first time. After making the decision to DJ professionally she’s played events and venues such as Thuishaven, Reaktor, Luxor Live, Ruigoord, Sugarfactory and Warehouse Elementenstraat. Her early obsession with music in general landed her a big collection of cds and vinyl to play around with. Discovering music genres like techno, ambient, new wave and industrial would help shape her musical landscape and at sixteen she produced her first tracks. It sparked a fire in her which is still very much alive today. Collaborating with longtime friend Adriaan Oudemans led them to form a techno duo better known as Disk Space. They’ve released on labels such as Everyone On Acid, Flatlife Records and Perception Music. In 2019 they selfreleased their EP ‘Revert To Last Save’ which features 10 tracks from their archive. In the fall of 2019 they toured through several cities in Holland to promote the EP – several shows were sold out. Nina also owns her own label called The Factory, which was founded in 2020 and has released work by Legowelt & Regularfantasy. Next to this, Nina co-produces and co-hosts Armin van Buuren’s radio show A State of Trance ever since 2022.
