Giovanni Rustenberg (Amsterdam, February 6, 1993), better known by his stage name Cho, is a Dutch rapper. Before going solo, he was part of the hip hop collective SlodderVosGang and Straight Outta Control. Rustenberg grew up in Amsterdam-Bijlmer. His brother got him interested in hip-hop, so he started freestyling. He was invited to rap on the radio show ‘Eigen bodem’ and did this on the song ‘Broodje bakpao’ by The Opposites. Thanks to this broadcast he was discovered by rappers Adje and Reverse. On his eighteenth birthday, he released his first music video, titled ‘Veel schijt’ (2011). In 2016, his Album Knock Knock III hit the charts, and also the album Since ’93 in 2019. After two years of silence, the new album ‘Chosen’ by rapper Cho appeared again on the charts.
