Broederliefde

Origin: Netherlands

Broederliefde is a Dutch hip hop group with Curaçao, Dominican and Cape Verdean roots. The rap group consists of Emms (Emerson Akachar), Jerr (Jerzy Rocha Livramento), Edson (Edson Cesar), Mella (Melvin Silberie) and Sjaf (Javiensley Dams). They are originally a group of old soccer friends from Rotterdam, who went into the studio together. The boys kick-started their career by sharing their tracks via social media. Their 101 Barz sessions have earned them several awards and in 2014, they released their debut album ‘Gevoelig Feestje’, which reached the top three. This song earned Broederliefde an Edison nomination a year later, before they reached number one in the Album Top 100 with the album ‘Hard work pays off 2’ in 2016. Later, they also reached number one with the album ‘We moeten door’. Other hits that Broederliefde have collaborated on include ‘Mi No Lob’, ‘Ik was al binnen’ and ‘Officieel’.
